Module 3 Overview
Management of a virtual environment requires consideration of CPU's, memory, storage and networks just like any datacenter. Instead of managing many hardware servers, the environment is managed on a smaller number of large servers. This requires special consideration of managing the server resources.
Course Objectives
This module contributes to the following course objectives:
- Identify important aspects of virtual systems, their architecture and discuss how they are used within larger, networked computing systems
- Distinguish the unique characteristics, constraints, and opportunities of implementing virtual platforms into information technology systems
Module Objectives
Upon the completion of this module, you will be able to:
- Explain considerations of CPU and Memory in virtualization
- Configure a VM CPU, memory & storage
- Describe tuning practices for a VM
